Tom Haulyard is a retired Able Seaman, late of HMS Indefatigable. Tom has been interested in Stonehenge since he first saw it while on leave in 1783. Tom recognized the potential of Stonehenge as a navigational device and has been working on the problem ever since.

Tom and his Polly dearest now live in Cornwall  on their country estate which Tom purchased with his prize money.
